Halloween

It's nearly that time of year again, where I dust off all real cobwebs and put up fake ones instead ;-)

We're nearly ready for our Halloween Party, it's fancy dress for the littlies and biggies alike.  I've made the Little Woman a Dead Ballerina costume. Daddy and Little Man are going to be Count Dracula and son.  Me?  Maybe a witch (at least I won't need to do my hair) or maybe a psychopathic house wife.......

Tomorrow we have to carve our homegrown pumpkin and get the cauldron ready the witchy broth..

Chile

The t.v. has been on here nearly all day, tuned to the live coverage of the Chilean miners being rescued from the collapsed mine that has imprisoned them since 5th August.

Many times my eyes have filled with tears as I've watched the emotional reunions between the miners and their families, their relief, happiness and gratitude simply pouring from the screen.

No doubt there will be trying times ahead for them all but thankfully for 20 of the 33 the physical rescue is behind them.

Some news reporters seem to have become quite fond of the miners families.  I imagine that most of the events that they cover require them to maintain a dispassionate professional distance for personal sanity as much as anything.

This really is a good news story.

Well done Chile. 

I'm sending prayers, blessings and all good wishes to the miners and their families, may they have long and happy lives ahead of them.

Stop Procrastinating!

It is a beautifully bright autumnal morning, the due is heavy on the grass and the sunlight is soft and gentle, if you know what I mean.

Much as I would like to be doing something with these today

I think I'm going to have to do something with these instead
